Riccardo Rossa holds a Master Degree in Energy and Nuclear Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino, an European Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the European Nuclear Education Network (ENEN), and a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Since 2016 he works at the Belgian nuclear research centre SCK CEN in the fields of nuclear safeguards, non-destructive assays of radioactive material, use of machine learning for data analysis, and education and training. Since October 2024 he is also guest Professor at the Ghent University focusing on the integration of Small Modular Reactors in the Belgian energy mix.
